Originally from the Catskill Mountains of New York State, following college Bill began a career in law enforcement. After several years he left to enter Christian ministry and is a 1982 graduate of Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was ordained that same year in the Central Association of the PennCentral Conference of the United Church of Christ.

After serving settled pastorates in Pennsylvania, Iowa and Florida, Bill took additional training to become a Transitional Ministry Specialist.  As such he serves in several Conferences at churches which are between settled pastors.  His primary task is to lead these churches through an extensive program of self-evaluation and visioning designed to prepare them to call a new settled pastor.  We are in that process as this being written.
