A big thank you to everyone who helped with the yard sale. We know this requires a big effort on a lot of people’s part and we just wanted you to know we REALLY appreciate it! For the record, slightly over $1,200.00 was made for the youth activities fund. Again, thank you!
Some of the youth participated in a whitewater rafting trip down Brown’s Canyon recently. We had a beautiful day and saw a very scenic part of the river. Although the raft never tipped over, the kids weren’t satisfied until they drenched themselves with a few water fights. Some were even brave enough to swim in the 50 degree water, although they didn’t stay in very long!
Our next trip was on July 21st to the 25th to Santa Fe where we did some mission work. Updates on how that went will be in the next newsletter.
A trip to Water World is scheduled for August 21st. Cost is $20.00 and includes lunch. Kids are encouraged to invite a friend for this ‘End of Summer’ event.
The Lake Powell trip had to be canceled due to busy schedules. Youth participating in Young Life Camps, working, taking other trips and the beginning of sports camps knocked us out of the time slot we had available. Another shorter trip to one of the Colorado lakes is being considered.
